Time Zones

September 25, 2008

Why do you think it is important to know about time zones in America or any other place in the world?

I think it is important to know about time zones beacause you could know the time in the country or state you live in or in any other country or state. It is also important to know about what time it is because if you want to call someone in any other state or country you would know if it is to late, to early, or just the right time to call.

China has expanded their economic ties with the rest of the world. China has accepted other ethnic differences. China has decided to share their economic difficulties and pleasures with the rest of the world.

This article was interesting because; China was willing to expand their economic ties with the rest of the world, and together , they would help one other.

Between the ages of 11 and 14,  seven boys and one girl was killed. They were tripped and were stepped on to death. They suffered from; punctured lungs, broken bones, and concussions.

I think this article was interesting because, 8 middle school students were killed , just because the students were rushing through the halls.

I think that this article was important because, many people got hurt and died because of a bomb, that exploded in their area.

American universities are now allowing Chinese students to enroll into their university. India was the leading country, and they sent about more than 100,000 students to get educated internationally. China is rapidly catching up, they have gotten up to about 98,000 students. The vice president of the Institute of International education commented, saying that they are going to get at least 100,000 students to get internationally educated, each year.

I think this article was interesting, because students that want to get educated in other countries, then where they are now, can have the opportunity to do so.

China has been very cautious with the Swine Flu, otherwise known as ; H1N1. 30 people in China have died from the Swine Flu. They have been taking flu shots since early September, and have made sure that everyone has gotten the vaccination. The H1N1 is rapidly traveling from place to place, and people must be aware that they need the shot, because they might get the flu.

I think this article was interesting because the people in China, wanted all of the people to get the vaccination, so that it wouldn’t spread, and it is important to have a community, that isn’t full of sick people.

After overlooking wars from the past years. The Iraqis have learned valuable lessons and skills they should be using for the next coming wars. Lessons are carried on with the soldiers as they fight in the wars. They realize what they have done wrong, and correct the mistakes from the past.

I think this article is important because it talked about how they would look back at what they have done in past wars, and make their upcoming wars different and more precise.

King Abdullah flew to Syria on Wednesday for talks with the president. He talks to him and tries to consider peace conversations. King Abdullah and the Syrian and Saudi leaders eventually came to an understanding. There is still confusion in the decisions. Which causes them to have more discussions.

I think this article was important because, some countries would like to be in peace with others.

The United States has officially stated that they will remove all troop members from Iraq by next August. Leaving about 50,000 American troop members supporting Iraq.
